The same day the ocean ship arrives at port, Prime Freight Shipments will not be ready for pickup.

Because many ships have more than 10,000 containers on board, unloading the ocean vessel can take 1-3 business days.

After unloading the container and placing it in the container yard of the arrival port, an FCL (Full Container Load) shipment will be available for pickup. A shipment of LCL (less than container load) will have to be transported to a CFS (Container Freight Station) and deconsolidated before it can be picked up.

In order to avoid demurrage charges, shipments must be collected from the CFS or Container Yard (CY) before the Last Free Day.
