Viewing your rates and quotes

The following guide will help you navigate the rates, as well as the quotes subsection from the Prime Freight Logistics portal.

To begin with, once in the portal dashboard, you will click the rate search section on the left side of the page as shown below:

Once in the rate search section, as shown below, you will be given the option to input the port of origin, where you wish your container to depart as well as the port of arrival, where your container will arrive. Additionally, you will be asked of the date that your container will be ready to load, as well as the type of shipment preferred (FCL or LCL).

In this case we will use an example of a shipment from departing from Chittagong, and arriving in Montreal. For this example we will suppose that the date that the container is ready to load is the 25th of October.

If the Container is an FCL (Full container load), we will presented with the following options:

As seen above, we have several options for the shipment.

Firstly, you will be given the option to choose between the types of containers as well as the quantities required for your shipment. The final booking price will change according to the type and amount of containers chosen.

Additionally, you will be given the choice to chose what services you would require. Such services as pick up, rail transport, and final delivery.

By clicking the "view details" drop down option, you can view the different service fees, which will explain the total cost. There is also an option to select the shipper right below the pick up service.

The Prime Freight Logistic portal also has a subsection that allows you to look over quotes for LCLs and FCLs from specific port of departure, as well as port of destination. All these quotes given to you in this subsection are routes that are relevant to your needs. Shipping rates change constantly, which is why we keep the rates up to date. As shown below, all of the quotes show date ranges of validity, shipping companies' price changes are always reflected in this section of the portal, and the rate search section.

In addition, you can click any of these quotes and seek additional information for this specific route as shown below:

As always all of these price updates for different shipping routes are sent to you via email at the same time as they are updated on the portal. This is done in order to keep you updated with the latest prices and routes.
