Storage if you don't ship everything to Amazon
Short answer
Yes — if you don't want your whole shipment delivered to an Amazon fulfillment center right away, we can hold it in our warehouse. Storage is charged per pallet, per week. It's meant for the short term (usually up to about a month); ask your operations team about longer-term options.
Why hold cargo instead of sending it all
Storing some or all of a shipment lets you:
Meter inventory into Amazon so you don't exceed storage limits or trigger long-term storage fees on Amazon's side.
Hold back stock and release it as demand or sales events call for it.
Stage cargo while you finalize labeling, palletizing, or a split across fulfillment centers (see Multiple FBA locations in one shipment).
How storage is charged
Storage is billed per pallet, per week. The exact rate depends on your cargo and warehouse, so ask your dedicated team for the storage cost that applies to your shipment. Charges appear on your Prime Freight invoice.
How long you can store
Our warehouse storage is a short-term service, typically limited to around one month. If you need to hold cargo longer, ask your dedicated team about long-term storage options before your goods arrive so we can plan for it.
How this works at Prime Freight
Tell your operations team how much of the shipment you want delivered now and how much to hold. We store the balance and release it to Amazon on your instruction — coordinating the delivery appointment and any palletizing or labeling when it ships. Pair this with Amazon's Inventory Placement Service if you're also trying to simplify destinations.
