Set up your account

What this covers

How to create your Prime Freight portal account from scratch. Once you're set up, you can get rates, book shipments, and track your cargo in one place. This is for new customers signing up for the first time.

Before you start

Have your company details ready — legal business name, address, and the countries you ship from and to. To request credit, you'll also need basic financial details and a couple of trade references.

Steps

  1. Start the sign-up. Go to the Prime Freight website and choose Sign up. Sign-up runs in three short steps.

  2. Enter your company information. Provide your company name, the origin and destination you ship between, your address, the nature of your business, and the other requested details. This is what identifies your account.

  3. Request credit for your first shipment. Tell us the credit amount your company would like for its first shipment, then provide the supporting information and past trade references we use to approve it.

  4. Add your contact details. Enter your name and email address. This is the address your portal invitation will be sent to, so use one you check.

  5. Wait for verification. We review and verify your details — this usually takes less than a day. When you're approved, we email a formal invitation to the address you provided.

  6. Set your password. Open the invitation email and follow its link to choose a password for the portal.

  7. Log in. With your password set, sign in and you'll land on your dashboard. From here, take a tour of the portal to find your way around.

Tips

  • Use a work email you monitor. The invitation and future portal notifications go to this address.

  • Credit is optional to your timeline, not your access. The credit request is part of getting set up to ship; you can still explore the portal once your login is active.

Troubleshooting

  • The invitation email hasn't arrived. Check your spam or junk folder first. Verification usually takes under a day; if it's been longer, contact your Prime Freight team.

  • The password link won't open or has expired. Request a fresh invitation from your Prime Freight team, and see Supported browsers and access for login fixes.
