What this covers

How to find the quotes we've prepared for your shipping lanes, read what's in each one, and accept the quote you want. Accepting a quote is the first step toward a booking.

Before you start

Quotes cover specific lanes — a port of departure to a port of destination — for full-container-load (FCL) or less-than-container-load (LCL) cargo. Freight rates change constantly, so each quote shows a validity window. To search live rates yourself instead, use RateSearch.

Steps

  1. Open Quotes. Select Quotes in the left menu to see the quotes prepared for your lanes. These are routes relevant to your recent and upcoming shipments.

  2. Check validity. Each quote shows a valid-from / valid-to date range. Carrier price changes are reflected here and in RateSearch as soon as they land, so rates stay current.

  3. Open a quote. Select a row to see the full breakdown for that route.

  4. Review the charges. A quote lists the freight rate plus the services included — for example origin pickup, rail or drayage, and final delivery. Expand the details to see each service fee that makes up the total. For what a quote does and doesn't include, see What's included in your quote.

  5. Accept the quote. Choose Accept and confirm when prompted. Accepting turns the quote into a booking request, which then appears on your Bookings page for approval — see View and approve a booking.

Tips

  • We also email you rate updates as they change, so you can spot a better rate without logging in.

  • Don't see a rate for the lane you need? You can request a custom air or ocean rate.

Troubleshooting

  • A quote has expired. Rates move with the market. If the validity window has passed, run a fresh rate search or ask your Prime Freight team for an updated quote.

  • The lane you want isn't listed. Quotes are pre-built for your active lanes. For a new origin or destination, request a custom rate.
